Days after police took Sia Goyal to Lohagad Fort to recreate the chain of events that allegedly led to the murder of her fiancé Ketan Agarwal, investigators also took her boyfriend Chetan Chaudhary to the crime scene as part of the investigation.
Both Sia and Chetan have been accused of killing a Pune realtor by pushing him off a cliff in Lohagad Fort during a trip last month.
Speaking to ANI, Chetan’s lawyer said he had argued before the court that no “specific role” could be assigned to his client except mentioning Ketan once and “suspecting” him of committing the act.

Pune police took the accused on Wednesday to reconstruct the crime scene and analyze his gait. Gait analysis is the study of human movements when walking or running and is used by police to identify suspects captured on videos or surveillance cameras. After that, the police will complete the legal procedures to reconstruct the crime scene.
The fort was closed on Tuesday, and tourists were evacuated while police carried out investigation measures in connection with the case, according to ANI.
“The probe did not clarify Chetan’s role.”
While speaking to ANI, Chetan’s lawyer, advocate Radhekesh Uttawar, said he argued that neither the CRPF reports nor the investigation have so far clarified Chetan’s role in the crime.
“I have argued that Chetan’s name appears only twice in all the remand reports and FIRs. Once where the deceased mentioned Chetan’s name to their father, and the second case involving a direct allegation specifically, suspicion that Chetan committed the act. Beyond that, no specific role has been attributed to Chetan either in the FIR or the FIRs; the documents only refer to ‘the accused’ collectively,” he told ANI.
Chetan’s lawyer urged the court to give them time to interview him to “understand his version of events” and “gather more information about his role.”
Lawyer Uttawar said the next arguments before the court would be that the investigation requiring personal custody is now “effectively complete”. The lawyer said that they will appeal to the court to remand Chetan in judicial custody and send him to Yerwada Central Jail. “It will likely be difficult to secure additional police custody after July 3,” Uttawar told ANI.
Both Sia and Chetan were arrested on June 23, five days after Ketan’s murder, and currently remain in police custody. Siya was taken to the fort last week around 6:30 am amid tight security, where she was first interrogated about the locations where Ketan parked his car and the place where her boyfriend parked his motorcycle on the day of the incident. She was then taken to the place from where Ketan allegedly paid.
