Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s YouTube channel now has over 30 million subscribers, a feat that cements his position as the most followed global leader on the platform.

The Prime Minister has more than seven times more subscribers than US President Donald Trump, highlighting the scale of his global and digital reach.
Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro ranks second in terms of the number of subscribers, but his numbers do not exceed a quarter of Prime Minister Modi’s numbers.

In India, Prime Minister Modi has three times as many subscribers as Rahul Gandhi’s Congress Party and more than four times as many subscribers as the Congress Party and the Aam Aadmi Party, respectively.
With over 30 million subscribers, PM Modi’s YouTube account is the most subscribed channel globally.
Last week, Prime Minister Modi became the first global leader and politician to cross 100 million followers on Instagram. He has twice as many followers on the social media platform as Trump.
The total number of followers of the following five major global leaders is less than the number of individual followers of Prime Minister Modi.
As of December 2025, Prime Minister Modi has the highest approval rating among selected world leaders. According to Statista, Prime Minister Modi has an approval rating of 70 per cent, ranking first on the list among other global leaders.
According to the latest data released by US-based business intelligence firm Morning Consult, Prime Minister Modi ranked first with an approval rating of 67 per cent.
The intelligence company’s findings were based on data collected from February 2 to February 8, 2026.
