Assam’s District Labor Task Force rescued a teenage girl from a locked storage box on a bed in Guwahati on Sunday. NDTV reported that the girl worked as a domestic worker and was subjected to repeated physical abuse.

According to reports, the 13-year-old girl was employed as a maid in the house for the past six years.
What happened?Local residents lodged a complaint after the girl child was employed as a domestic worker and subjected to constant physical abuse, NDTV reported, citing authorities.
Based on this information, a team of Assam District Labor Task Force visited the location on Sunday evening. Accused Arina Lashkar Khatun initially denied the presence of the girl and claimed that her father had picked her up a few days ago.
