The UAE’s first ambassador to India Hussain Hassan Mirza expressed his frustration over the ongoing war between Iran and the US-Israel alliance on Monday and hinted at something that could escalate the issue – a phone call from Prime Minister Modi.

While speaking to NDTV, Misra focused on Modi’s global standing and said that he is highly respected in the Gulf region.
“One phone call from Mr Modi to his counterparts in Iran and Israel can resolve this issue, can end this issue. One phone call,” Mirza said.

Mirza emphasized what makes him confident about this, saying that Modi stands with both sides who, he said, are fighting “on our soil.”
“There is no reason for the UAE to participate.”
Mirza explained that the UAE does not intend to get involved in the war between Iran, the United States, and Israel, and said that he is not sure why the UAE is involved in the conflict.

“To be honest, I’m not sure why we’re involved. There’s no reason for the UAE to be involved in this,” he told NDTV.
He added that the UAE’s crucial geopolitical position, being a neighbor of Iran and a partner of Israel as part of the Abraham Accords, is what makes it advantageous. “We can negotiate between the two,” Mirza said.

The Iran-American war is igniting in its second week
Even as the war between Iran and the United States enters its second week, there are no signs of de-escalation. Explosions continued to rock Iran and Israel on the tenth day of the war.
After the assassination of Khamenei on the first day of the war, Iran got its new supreme guide, Khamenei’s son, Mojtaba, whose appointment was not received well by US President Trump.
