New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested two ground-based workers of the terror group Ansar Ghazwat-e-Hind (AGH) who actively participated in the bomb blast on November 10, 2025 near the Red Fort and supplied weapons to the main accused in the terror attack, the agency said on Wednesday.

The explosion occurred on the evening of November 10 when a Hyundai i20 exploded near the Red Fort. Investigators said the car was driven by Dr Nabi, a resident of Pulwama who works at Al Falah University, Faridabad. (HT file photo/Sanjeev Verma) (Sanjeev Verma/Hindustan Times)

The suspects were identified as Zamir Ahmed Ahanjar, a resident of Ganderbal, and Tufail Ahmed Bhat, a resident of Srinagar.

So far, the federal anti-terrorism investigation agency has arrested 11 people in the Delhi blast, in which 12 people were killed, including the main accused, Omar Unnabi.

The explosion occurred on the evening of November 10 when a Hyundai i20 exploded near the Red Fort. Investigators said the car was driven by Nabi, a resident of Pulwama who works at Al Falah University in Faridabad.

According to a previous assessment by the agencies, the explosion was carried out amid a state of panic and desperation following a widespread crackdown by several countries against what the agencies described as a “white-collar terrorist unit.” In the days before the blast, police forces in Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and other states carried out a series of raids that led to the recovery of nearly 3,000 kg of explosives and other bomb-making materials.

“Ahanjar was formally arrested by the NIA for their active involvement in the conspiracy related to the Delhi blast. Investigations conducted by the NIA revealed that the duo had supplied weapons to the main accused in the Delhi blast case,” the agency said in a statement.

“The NIA, which is investigating the case with the aim of unraveling the entire conspiracy behind the dastardly terrorist act, found Zameer Ahmed and Tufail Ahmed active as Ground Workers (OGWs) of the Ansar Ghazwat-e-Hind terrorist group,” she added.

The agency said it is working in coordination with Jammu and Kashmir Police, Haryana Police and other agencies in this case.

“Investigations have further revealed that Zamir and Tufail were involved in the bomb plot, and were also part of various other terrorist conspiracies. They were involved in collecting arms and ammunition, intended for use against the Indian state, the NIA found through extensive investigations and examination of evidence,” the statement said.

Omar was the mastermind of the Delhi blast plot, along with other accused – Muzammil Ganai, Shaheen Saeed, Mufti Irfan, Adeel Ahmed Rather, as well as five others who provided shelter and logistical support to the main conspirators, according to the NIA. These nine men were earlier arrested from various locations in Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana.
