Lok Janshakti Party MP Shambhavi (Ram Vilas) criticized the opposition in Lok Sabha on Monday using a clip of an old ‘Qawwali’ song that was remixed in last year’s blockbuster film ‘Durandhar’.
During her participation in the discussion of the 2026 Finance Bill, she said that the opposition is only indulging in negative politics that the people have rejected.

The qawwali “naaz o andaz se kehte hain ke jeena hoga, zeher bhi dete hain to kahte hai ke peena hoga” was featured in the 1960 movie “Barsaat Ki Raat”. This was remixed in “Dhurandhar” last year and became a musical hit among people.
In her remarks in Lok Sabha, Champavi also criticized Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi.
She said: “Some opposition thinkers describe our economy as dead, but the funny thing is that they themselves are dead electorally and describe our economy as dead.”
She said: When they call the economy dead, they are not only insulting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, they are insulting our farmers, workers, scientists and startup founders.
“Under Prime Minister Modi’s decisive leadership, we have moved from being part of the five fragile states to being part of the five largest economies,” the MP from Samastipur in Bihar said.
