Anuj Agnihotri, who topped the 2025 main civil services examination of the Union Public Service Commission, said on Thursday that he was “still trying to process the results”.

The AIIMS Jodhpur graduate, who is also a DANICS observer, said this was his third attempt and he had just learned about the results.
“I have just been informed of the result. Currently, I am on probation in DANICS service. I graduated from AIIMS Jodhpur in 2023,” Agnihotri said soon after the civil services results were announced on Friday.
Agnihotri’s father is an employee of the Rawatbhata Nuclear Power Plant, Rajasthan.
Rajeshwari Suve M and Akansh Dhull secured second and third positions respectively.

A total of 958 candidates have qualified the examination and are recommended for appointment in various central civil services, the committee said.
The Civil Services examination is conducted annually in three stages, including preliminary, mains and interview by UPSC to select officers for the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), among others.
The main examination was conducted from August 22 to August 31, 2025. Candidates who qualified the examination will be called for the personality test (interview) for selection
The nomination of 348 recommended candidates has been temporarily maintained, PTI reported, citing the Commission.
Candidates who appeared for the Civil Services Personal Round can check the merit list through the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in.
