Gold was up 1.3% at $5,028.77 an ounce by 8:28 a.m. Singapore time, while silver was up 1.7% at $79.18.

Gold, silver rates live update today: Gold rises by ₹2,200 as silver falls nearly 3% in Delhi marketGold, Silver Rates Live Update Today: Silver Prices Fall ₹7,500, or about 3 per cent, to ₹2.64 lakh per kg in the national capital on Tuesday, even as gold prices rose amid a firmer US dollar, PTI reported.
According to the All India Bullion Association, silver fell ₹2,64,500 per kg, inclusive of all taxes, compared to Monday’s closing price ₹2,72,000 per kg.
In contrast, gold of 99.9 percent purity rose ₹2,200, or 1.4 per cent, to ₹1,60,700 per 10 grams, inclusive of all taxes. The precious metal was stable in the previous session ₹1,58,500 per 10 grams.
Market participants said gold prices extended gains for the second consecutive session, supported by steady demand from jewelers and investors.
