The Manipur Police has ordered a major reshuffle in its officer cadre, transferring and posting 83 personnel, including inspectors and junior officers, across police stations, command units and specialized wings in the conflict-hit state.

The transfer order, issued by Director General of Police (DGP) Mukesh Singh on Saturday, said that the officers have been transferred, attached, dismissed and posted at various police stations, command units and specialized wings across the conflict-torn state until further orders.

Among the major transfers, Inspector Kshetrimayyum Naresh Kumar has been transferred from Officer-in-Charge, Imphal Police Station, to Vigilance Division, while Inspector Kumuksham Pedajit has been appointed as the new Commandant of Burumbat Police Station from Vigilance.

Inspector Konthoujam Bobby Singh has been transferred from OC, Porompat Police Station, to head Imphal Police Station, while Inspector Robindro Brown Luwang, currently posted as Imphal East (Area, Traffic) OC, has been posted as OC (Traffic), Imphal West, after being separated from Imphal East.

Other notable changes include the appointment of Inspector Sanayaima Sadokpam as OC of Tulihal Airport Police Station from Singjamei Police Station, while Inspector Yangmi Hashunao Shimray has been transferred from Yangangpokpi Police Station to take charge of Singjamei Police Station in Imphal West.

Several officers have also been deployed in key areas in the hill areas. Inspector Heisnam Thoiba Singh has been transferred from Tulihal Airport Police Station to serve as Senapati Police Station Commander, while Inspector Md. Arif Khan as Yangangpokpi Police Station Commander. Inspector Marchang Wongmahai has been transferred from Ukrul Police Station to CAR in Ukrul, with Inspector Takhilmayom Ramchor Singh taking over as the new Director of Operations for Ukrul Police Station.

The amendment also covers appointments to specialized units, including Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Vigilance, Special Commandos, Intelligence, Traffic, Narcotics and Border Affairs (NAB), commando units and Manipur Police Training College (MPTC).

The order directs the MPTC Director, police supervisors, and relevant commanders to implement transfers and submit compliance reports.
