Light rain is expected to bring relief to Delhi on Monday, as the capital has been reeling under heatwave conditions for the past few days. The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for rain in Delhi in its now warning.

“Light to light rain accompanied by moderate thunderstorms/lightning (wind speed 30-50 kmph) gusting to 60 kmph is very likely over parts of South East Delhi, East Delhi, Shahdara, Central Delhi, North East Delhi, South Delhi, New Delhi, South West Delhi, West Delhi, North West Delhi and North Delhi,” the IMD said in its warning.
