With just days to go until the votes are counted, the political drama is unfolding in Tamil Nadu. On Friday, unidentified persons set fire to the election office of Vijay-led Tamilaga Party candidate Vetri Kazhagam. The incident was reported from Petavavitalai area of ​​Srirangam Assembly constituency near Trichy in Tamil Nadu, where TVK candidate Ramesh’s office was allegedly attacked.

The party sought immediate action and a formal complaint was filed with the local police station by the party’s union secretary, Nouakchott News Agency reported.

Actor and politician Vijay TVK is among the political parties contesting in Tamil Nadu where elections for the 234-seat Assembly were held on April 23 and the counting of votes will take place on May 4.

Meanwhile, TVK candidate, N. Mary Wilson, on Thursday, said that Vijay had instructed the candidates to report at the counting centers early in the morning before the counting begins and “not to move an inch.”

“Vijay asked us (TVK candidates) to be present at the counting centers by 6 am, and advised us to stay ahead and closely monitor the proceedings, without moving an inch,” RK Nagar candidate Wilson said.
