Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who completed his second year as Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, announced that he will continue to fight for the people of the country.

“Today marks two years since I became Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha. Every day of those two years has been dedicated to one mission – to take the voice of every Indian to the corridors of power. Be it fighting for TVET aspirants, exposing election rigging, or defending the Constitution, I have stood with you on every front. I stand with you today, and always will,” Gandhi said.
Sharing a three-and-a-half-minute video of speeches he has delivered over the past two years, Gandhi said, “The journey is long, but my resolve remains the same – I will continue to fight every battle for you. Jai Hind. Constitution Jai.”
Gandhi was elected to the Lok Sabha in 2004 from Amethi, a seat that was represented by his family’s supporters. But he also suffered a shock defeat from the seat in 2019, yet was elected from Wayanad, a seat belonging to Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in the current Lok Sabha.
In the last two years, Gandhi raised major demands, including caste census in the country. The government had announced in April last year that the caste census would be part of the decennial census of 2026. Gandhi has also been an outspoken critic of the government’s economic policies and also demanded the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over paper leaks.
