Gold and silver prices showed mixed trends in major Indian cities this week, after touching record highs and Then witness a sharp dip.The sudden fall in prices has led to speculations about the reason behind the drop in the price of the precious metal.

In all, gold prices rose 20.2 percent, or ₹27,800, from ₹1,37,700 per 10 grams was recorded at the end of last year.

What is the price of MCX gold and silver?On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures (24 carat) are moving ₹1,60,860 per 10 grams, while silver was trading at MCX ₹3, 670 per 10 grams.

MCX gold and silver prices crashed on Friday as investors booked profits amid global sell-off due to a stronger US dollar.

Commodity market trading is open from 9 am to 5 pm.
