In a shocking case from Uttar Pradesh, a woman allegedly planned to kill her husband with her lover, but seemingly insignificant details left at the crime scene helped police unravel the crime within 24 hours.

The incident took place near Agra, where the partially burnt body of the victim, identified as Lokendra, was found beside the road. He has been missing since April 1.
What initially seemed like a difficult case quickly turned into a quick investigation after police picked up a crucial piece of evidence: an empty liquor bottle lying near the body.

QR code that solved the issue
Investigators scanned the QR code printed on the liquor bottle, which revealed the exact store where it was purchased, India Today reported. This digital footprint has become the turning point.
The police accessed CCTV footage from the store and spotted Lokendra there with two men. The duo was soon identified as Mahesh and Dharamveer. Both were arrested, and the case quickly began to unfold.

During interrogation, Mahesh allegedly confessed to having an affair with Lokendra’s wife. According to police, Lokendra discovered the relationship and was strongly against it, even informing family members and neighbours, the report said.
Despite this, the two continued to meet in secret. This led to a conspiracy, where Lokendra’s wife decided to eliminate him, officers said.

Police said Mahesh took the help of his accomplice Dharamveer to implement the plan. The two allegedly invited Lokendra for drinks and took him to a secluded field. After consuming alcohol together, he accuses Mahesh and Dharamveer of strangling him. In an attempt to destroy evidence, they allegedly set fire to the body before fleeing the scene, the report added.
The victim was identified by tattoos on his body. Meanwhile, based on the evidence collected, including CCTV footage and confessions, the police arrested the woman, her lover and his accomplice within 24 hours of starting the investigation.
