“I traveled to Delhi today on official business to attend a meeting of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence. I was on seat 1F in 6E 719. 4-6 guys boarded in a group, looked at me and went to the back of the plane,” Moitra wrote and shared a video.

She said: “This is not ‘citizen rage’. This is harassment and a violation of my safety on a plane. These reckless people cannot get away with this harassment inside the plane.”

Moitra tagged IndiGo and Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu and urged action against those involved.

“Find your crew report, name them, shame them and put them on the no-fly list,” read her post addressed to the airline.

In a second post, she said: “This is the culture of the BJP. Why should anyone be surprised?”

Moitra said she ignored the incident and went to the meeting, but saw the video that “went viral” and decided to cancel it.

“I ignored it and went to (my meeting) from the airport. Then people sent me a video that the Sanghiz were ‘going viral’. That’s when I called it up,” she said.

Moitra added that she would send a formal complaint to the airline.

There was no immediate response from IndiGo or the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
