Responding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s national call to reduce the use of private vehicles, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini traveled from Chandigarh to Delhi by train on Thursday.

Speaking to reporters, CM Saini urged citizens to switch to public transport to mitigate future environmental and resource challenges, in parallel with the country’s united fight against the Covid-19 pandemic to inspire public cooperation.
“Prime Minister Modi has appealed to the people of the country. We must cooperate. The Prime Minister said that we must reduce the use of (private) vehicles and use public transport more. We must contribute towards this. So that we can face the difficulties that may come before us in the future. We will overcome this together, just as we beat Corona,” the CM said.
Strongly condemning Rahul Gandhi’s “traitorous” remarks against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Saini demanded an immediate apology to the nation and stated that the Congress party is collapsing due to lack of policy, intentions and leadership.

“Rahul Gandhi should apologize to the nation. The Congress party is almost finished because they don’t have ‘neti, nyat, netretva’. He says what he wants… Pointing fingers at a man like the Prime Minister is like pointing fingers at the country. He should apologize to the country and take back his words,” the CM said.
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi had urged people to confront RSS workers publicly and called the Prime Minister, Home Minister and the organization “traitors”, accusing them of undermining the Constitution and selling out the “Indian economic system”.
Gandhi said: “When these RSS workers come before you, they will talk about Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, then you must say to their faces that your Prime Minister, your Home Minister and the BJP are traitors. You have worked to sell out India. You have worked to attack the Constitution.”
These statements sparked immediate and sharp reactions from the Bharatiya Janata Party leadership, which accused Gandhi of exceeding political and constitutional limits.
