The complaint was filed by advocate Neeraj Rawat. An FIR was registered at Kotwali Town (police station) against 25 to 30 supporters, including outgoing Congress Committee Secretary Briraj Ahirwar.

Meanwhile, BJP spokesperson CR Kesavan admitted the remarks as “inexcusable and inexcusable”, while criticizing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for allegedly encouraging such behavior by his party members.

“Under Rahul Gandhi, the Congress party has degenerated into a den of degenerate elements like Ajay Rai… These kind of filthy and obscene statements made by Ajay Rai about PM Modi are inexcusable and inexcusable… One should also keep in mind that these kind of statements by Ajay Rai come in the wake of Rahul Gandhi’s shameful attack on PM Modi. This is the kind of insulting and degrading.” “Rahul Gandhi’s uncultured behavior is encouraging…Congress and Rahul Gandhi should remember one thing people are watching,” he added.

Earlier on Friday, BJP spokesperson CR Kesavan criticized Lok Sabha leader Rahul Gandhi, calling him “politically bankrupt”. The Congress leader was also accused of repeatedly lowering the level of public discourse with his statements against the central government and its leadership.

His comments came amid an ongoing political exchange in the wake of Rahul Gandhi’s recent criticism of the Center on foreign policy and economic issues, including his warning of an “economic storm” due to global tensions and questions over the Prime Minister’s diplomatic outreach.

In response, Kesavan told ANI: “Rahul Gandhi is politically bankrupt. The atrocious manner in which he has brought down public discourse to the lowest level is a complete disgrace.”

He further alleged that Rahul Gandhi’s statements reflected a pattern of “misconduct” and accused him of damaging India’s image abroad. “Rahul Gandhi’s preposterous statements and malicious misconduct, abandoning our national interest, remind you of the Congress party’s shameful and wrong past of betraying our country’s interests and stabbing our people in the back,” Kesavan said.

“Rahul Gandhi is now misbehaving himself in the same way that Congress governments did in the past. Rahul Gandhi is traveling abroad on ‘Bharat Badnam Yatra’ and maligning India,” he added.

The BJP spokesperson also accused the Congress leader of frustration over repeated electoral setbacks. “It is very clear that Rahul Gandhi is a very frustrated and depressed person, who has been repeatedly rejected by the people of India because of his divisive and negative politics,” Kesavan added.

These statements come against the backdrop of Rahul Gandhi’s renewed criticism of Prime Minister Modi, in which he alleged that the government is underestimating global economic risks and mishandling foreign policy challenges.

Rahul Gandhi also criticized the Prime Minister’s recent visit to five countries, including the widely discussed interaction in Rome where PM Modi gifted Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni a box of ‘Melody’ sweets, calling it a distraction from serious diplomatic issues.
