Seven people, including two women, were arrested in Kerala’s Thrissur district after police uncovered 308 grams of MDMA in two related drug cases, and a portion of the synthetic drug was allegedly recovered from the genitals of one of the women, officials said on Sunday.

The operation began on Friday night when personnel from Bichi police station intercepted a vehicle during a vehicle search in Vanniyambara, according to the agency’s report.

Returning after attending a party in Palakkad
After finding the behavior of the four occupants suspicious, officers conducted a detailed search and found two grams of MDMA hidden in the genitals of one of the women.
The four arrested persons have been identified as Shivaz (26) of Kakasiri, Vidya (28) of Ninmini, Jishnu (27) of Birds, and Srilakshmi (20) of Nambajikkad.
The district special anti-narcotics task force was informed and during interrogation, the accused allegedly told the investigators that they were returning after attending a party at a resort at Muthalamada in Palakkad district.

13 grams of MDMA were found
Police said the investigation revealed that Chivas had bought the drugs. A search of his house under Pavaratti police station limits led to the seizure of 13 grams of MDMA.
Further investigation revealed that Shivas’s friend, Somesh, had taken more drugs out of the house.
The police tracked down Somesh and identified two of his associates as Shabbir Ba, 37, of Thaikad and Ansad, 33, of Chavakkad.
Personnel from Chavakkad Police Station detained the duo and recovered 288.8 grams of MDMA from an aluminum manufacturing shop in Thailand on Saturday.
Police later arrested Somesh (25 years old) in connection with the case.
Officials said a total of 308 grams of MDMA were valued at more than $15 lakh were seized in the two cases registered at Bichi and Chavakkad police stations.
The seven accused appeared in court earlier on Sunday and were remanded in judicial custody, police said.
