Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national coordinator Arvind Kejriwal has criticized the National Testing Agency (NTA) over its warning to students and parents regarding submission of fake or AI-generated OMR papers for scrutiny, saying the agency should not threaten candidates searching for answers.
NTA, in a post on X, said it closely monitors and examines all complaints related to OMR papers. The agency stated that many OMR papers submitted for scrutiny were found to be fake or generated by artificial intelligence and advised students and parents to submit only original OMR papers. It also warned that submitting fake or AI-generated OMR papers may lead to legal action being taken against the complainant.
Reacting to the advisory, Kejriwal accused the NTA of mishandling the NEET exam and questioned its decision to warn students of legal consequences.
“Don’t threaten them. The kids have worked hard. You have ruined the entire NEET,” Kejriwal wrote on X.
The remarks come amid continuing political scrutiny of the NTA over its handling of NEET-related issues, including the Cockroach Janta Party protest.
Kejriwal said the agency should focus on addressing students’ concerns rather than issuing warnings of legal action.
NTA has confirmed that it is examining all complaints and such action will be taken only in cases where fake or AI-generated OMR papers are submitted for audit.
