In a letter addressed to the party cadre, Stalin said that despite taking over the responsibility as party president, he would continue to serve as the core cadre of the party.

“As of now, the DMK remains the movement that determines the political course of Tamil Nadu. In order to multiply its strength, I, as one of you, am making appropriate revisions to bring about massive changes in the organizational structure of the party,” he said.

Referring to the 103rd birth anniversary of his father and former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi on June 3, Stalin said the occasion rejuvenates the party cadres and inspires them to work with renewed enthusiasm.

“Let us celebrate Kalaignar’s birth anniversary grandly throughout Tamil Nadu. Let the black and red flag fly high everywhere in the party branches. Party executives should celebrate the birth anniversary of leader Kalaignar in a way that helps the senior pioneers who have dedicated themselves to the growth of Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam,” he said.

He also appealed to the younger generation to spread Kalaignar’s “historic achievements” on social media platforms.

“Let us work harder to protect the well-being of Tamil Nadu,” he added.
