The number of people who went missing in Delhi in January this year was proportionately less than in previous years, data shared by the Delhi Police showed.

In comparison, Delhi lost 24,893 people in 2024 and 24,508 in 2025.

Official data also showed that the number of missing persons in January this year was below the monthly average since 2024. While an average of 2,074 people were reported missing per month in 2024 and 2,042 in 2025, the number for January 2026 was 1,777, significantly below both averages.
