The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Friday announced that it will prioritize inspection and issuance of tickets to students during the upcoming CBSE board exams for Classes 10 and 12.

The DMRC said in a post on social media platform CBSE board exams 2026 for classes 10 and 12 have started from February 17 and will continue till April 10.

“With thousands of students commuting across the city, DMRC in partnership with CISF is implementing special facilitation measures at metro stations to accommodate the increasing number on exam days,” the DMRC said in the circular.

Steps the DMRC says it will take

  • According to DMRC, students with their CBSE admit cards will be given priority during security checks at metro stations.
  • Students who show their admit cards while purchasing tickets from Ticket Office Machines (TOM) and Customer Care Centers (CC) will also be given priority.
  • Special central announcements will be made at metro stations.

CBSE Board Exams for Class 10 and 12

Class 10 and 12 The CBSE board exams began on Tuesday, February 17, with over 46,000 students appearing in over 8,000 centers across the country and abroad.

While the Class 10 exams will end on March 10, the Class 12 exams will end on April 9.

The Council alerted students to the need to reach the examination centers by 10 am, taking into account local conditions, traffic, weather and distance.

Meanwhile, CBSE on Monday announced that appearing in the first board examination of Class 10 is mandatory for all students, and those who missed three or more subjects in the first examination will not be eligible to appear in the second examination. In a letter issued on Saturday, CBSE clarified that attendance for the first examination is mandatory.

It issued the clarification after receiving several requests from students regarding their inability to attend the first board exam for various reasons, and they may be allowed to sit for the second exam.
