CJP protest in Delhi LIVE: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) is set to hold its second major protest at Jantar Mantar in the national capital today, intensifying its campaign against exam paper leaks and student suicides while demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

The protest will begin at 1 pm at Jantar Mantar and is expected to see participation of students from Delhi and neighboring states.

In a message shared on social media, Dibek urged protest participants to bring plates and spoons with them.

He also wrote an open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, raising concerns over what he described as the deteriorating situation faced by students and seeking to hold the government accountable.

In the letter, Debke asked the Center to grant compensation $1 crore to the families of students who died by suicide amid the exam-related controversy. He said that 11 students died by suicide in recent weeks.

He also reiterated the organization’s demand for the dismissal of Federal Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, calling for accountability.

“I write to you today with a heavy heart, to draw your urgent attention to the escalating crisis that threatens our nation’s very future — the lives and mental well-being of our young students,” DeBakey said in the letter.

“Having lost their children who had spent their savings on education, these families are completely destitute,” Debkey wrote, demanding a $100 million compensation package. $1 crore to families affected by what he described as the “compound paper leak crisis”.

CJP protest in Delhi LIVE: Security tightened in Delhi ahead of protest

CJP protest in Delhi LIVE: Tight security has been in place across the national capital ahead of the second Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest at Jantar Mantar, with police stepping up surveillance and crowd control measures, officials said on Friday.

Officials said surveillance cameras have been installed in and around the protest site to monitor the gathering in real time. About 270 body-worn cameras will be used by police personnel on duty to maintain transparency and document proceedings.

They added that Delhi Police videographers were deployed to record the protest and any developments on the ground.

Multiple layers of barricades have been put up around Jantar Mantar and adjoining roads. Vehicles are stopped for inspection at the main entry and exit points in the city.

Senior Delhi Police officers have been assigned field duties to oversee security arrangements.
