Chennai is likely to witness generally cloudy skies with moderate rain on Monday, the Met office said in its weekly forecast. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 35 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is likely to reach 26 degrees Celsius.

The IMD also issued a yellow alert in several parts of Tamil Nadu, including Chennai, on April 6, indicating possible rainfall with thunderstorms.

On April 6, Chennai is expected to witness generally cloudy skies with moderate rain. The maximum temperature is likely to reach 35 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature will reach 26 degrees Celsius.

On April 7, the city is likely to witness partly cloudy skies, with a slight rise in temperatures. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 36 degrees Celsius, while the minimum will remain around 26 degrees Celsius, without a weather warning issued.

Weather conditions may become a little more active on April 8, as skies are expected to be partly cloudy with the possibility of moderate rain or thunderstorms. The IMD also noted the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning during the day. Temperatures are likely to range between 36°C and 27°C.

On April 9, Chennai is expected to witness generally cloudy skies with light rain. The maximum temperature is likely to remain around 36 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to be around 27 degrees Celsius, without any warning.

The generally cloudy sky pattern with light rain is expected to continue on April 10, with a slight increase in temperatures. The maximum temperature may reach 37 degrees Celsius, while the minimum will remain near 27 degrees Celsius.

Likewise, on April 11, Chennai is expected to continue under generally cloudy conditions with light rain. Temperatures are likely to remain stable, with a maximum of about 27 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 27 degrees Celsius.
