The Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has revised the license fees for central government employees occupying public housing (GPRA), the first review since 2023.

The revised prices apply from July 1 to government agencies across the country and increase monthly license fees for all categories of accommodation, from Type I to Type VIII.

Under the revised rates, the monthly license fee for the first quarter of the year has been increased $210 L $230, while Type II accommodation will now attract $490, higher than $440. Employees occupying Type III workplaces will pay $740 months compared to $660 earlier.

Type IV accommodation fees have been revised from $880 to $980, while Type IV (Special) quarters will now cost. $1,040 high from $930.

Among the higher categories, the monthly license fee for VA residency has been increased from $1,650 to $1850 VB type of $1,750 to $1960 type via from $2,170 to $2430 and Type VIB of $2,590 to $2900. The licensing fee for type 7 residency has been raised $3,040 to $3,400, while occupants of larger Type VIII homes will now pay $6,070 compared to $5430 earlier.

The Ministry also reviewed licensing fees for servants’ quarters, garages and accommodation.

The license fee is a fixed monthly fee linked to the category of government housing assigned to the employee. The review will lead to an increase in the monthly refunds from the salaries of employees who work in government agencies.

Public residential pool accommodation includes Center-owned residential quarters reserved for eligible government employees in cities across the country. The revised rates will come into effect from July 1, 2026.
