The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened the online portal for checking marks and re-evaluating results of Class 12 board exams after facing multiple delays.

In a post on X, CBSE urged students to watch the educational video available on the portal carefully before submitting applications. The Board has provided step-by-step guidance on the process of applying for mark verification and re-evaluation.
The board had earlier said that it would open the CBSE Class 12 re-evaluation portal on June 1.

Candidates who wish to apply for the re-evaluation and verification process can find the direct link to do so on the official website of CBSE at cbse.gov.in.
Multiple delays in opening the gate
The portal was initially scheduled to reopen on May 29 for candidates who received scanned copies of assessed answer books. However, the CBSE postponed the launch to June 1, citing that additional time is needed to ensure a transparent and error-free process.
Students were allowed to apply for scanned copies of their answer scripts between May 19 and May 25, but the portal remained inaccessible after May 26.
Under the revised schedule, candidates who have received their answer books can file question-specific objections if they believe marks have been incorrectly awarded or omitted. These objections will then be examined by subject matter experts through the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system, an Education Ministry official said.

For verification and re-evaluation, candidates will have to pay $500/- per answer book for checking and $100/- per question for re-evaluation.
The Board is expected to keep the verification and re-evaluation portal open for at least two days after the last copy of the scanned answer book and its evaluation is made available to the applicants.
