Delhi Police on Friday arrested members of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Yuva Morcha for organizing a protest outside the residence of Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, following demonstrations by the Indian Youth Congress at the India AI Impact Summit 2026.

According to police officials, several BJP Yuva Morcha activists were arrested while raising slogans against Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of “shaming India”.

“Rahul Gandhi Murdabad,” BJP Yuva Morcha activists said while holding a banner with the Congress leader’s picture on it and the words “Shame of India”.

Addressing the protest against the Youth Congress rally, BJP Yuva Morcha leader said, “The way Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party have defamed India by storming the AI ​​summit. Rahul Gandhi continues to try to defame India on the international stage. Traitor Rahul Gandhi.”

Another BJP Yuva Morcha member said: “This shows their ideology against the country. If you want to protest, protest the policies. They protested against their country.”

This comes after members of the Indian Youth Congress staged a protest at the Bharat Mandapam headquarters of the All Impact India Summit in the national capital, where they removed their shirts and carried slogans reading ‘Compromising Prime Minister’.

The Indian Youth Congress said in a statement that its workers were protesting against the “compromising prime minister who traded on the country’s identity at the AL summit.”

“Indian Youth Congress workers raised their voices and protested against the compromising Prime Minister who traded on the country’s identity at the AL summit,” an official Indian Youth Congress circular said.

Earlier, Delhi Police on Friday arrested four IYC workers during a protest at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital.
