Embodying the iconic line ‘With great power comes great responsibility’, a man dressed as Spider-Man named Shadab turned into a real-life superhero on the waterlogged streets of Bhiwandi, Maharashtra. Frustrated by municipal delays after heavy monsoon rains flooded the city and paralyzed traffic, he donned the costume to intervene in the chaos.

“A local resident, Shadab, dressed as ‘Spider-Man’, helps traffic amid waterlogging in Bhiwandi,” ANI tweeted while sharing a video of Shadab in action.

While directing vehicles and helping passengers, he also shakes hands and shakes hands with some, in appreciation for his gesture.

Why this effort?

“I noticed that the municipal authorities did not come here to address the problem of accumulated water,” Shadab told ANI.

Why a Spider-Man costume?

He told the news agency that he wore the costume because he was inspired by the superhero. “Inspired by the way Spider-Man helps people and saves lives in the movies, I decided to do the same in real life, helping others and removing standing water.”

What did social media say?

Most of them praised the man for his selfless efforts, and some did so in a funny way. “If this isn’t a worthwhile side quest, I don’t know what is,” one person wrote. Another posted “Spider-Man: India Chapter.”

A third commented: “People might call him crazy, but I call him a rare type. In an age where everyone is busy asking: ‘What’s in it for me?’, this guy seems to have completely skipped that chapter. His selflessness may be in danger, but he’s doing a pretty good job of keeping it alive!”

A fourth said: “Spiderman – new day, same old problem.” User X pointed out the upcoming film Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is scheduled to hit theaters on July 30.
