“Time-bound implementation of identified energy efficiency projects is essential to accelerate sustainable industrial growth in Andhra Pradesh,” Reddy said in a statement.

He said industries and financial institutions must ensure rapid financial closure and time-bound implementation of identified projects to enhance competitiveness and advance climate goals.

Reddy noted that Andhra Pradesh has set its date $400 crore worth of viable energy efficiency projects through five investment market events, and stressed the need for robust mobilization of public and private capital.

Referring to the State Energy Efficiency Policy 2024-2028, he highlighted the mandate to comply with the Energy Conservation Building Code 2017 across 123 urban local bodies, adding that over 1,800 ECBC compliant buildings have already been approved.

Encouraging industries to take advantage of the scheme for assistance in dissemination of energy efficiency technologies in industries and enterprises, he said it is offering an interest subvention of 5 per cent to micro and small enterprises and 3 per cent to medium enterprises across 14 major sectors, including fisheries, glass and refractories in East and West Godavari districts.

He added that the workshop is the sixth investment bazaar organized under the Energy Efficiency Finance Platform initiative of the Office of Energy Efficiency, Government of India.

Reddy also said that under the Deliver, Deliver and Trade mechanism, till the sixth session, the state has achieved energy savings of over 1.3 million tonnes of oil equivalent (MTOE) in 59 industries.

The Securities and Exchange Commission also formed a Financial Institutions Committee that includes 11 banks and two non-banking financial companies to facilitate financing of energy efficiency projects. Andhra Pradesh recently received the National Energy Conservation Award 2025 for the fourth time in a row, the statement added.
