An Indian Air Force transport plane crashed while trying to land at the Roria Air Force Base in Jorhat, Assam on Saturday. Five Indian Air Force personnel are feared killed in the accident, including the pilot, according to Indian Air Force officials. They added that the co-pilot survived and is receiving treatment.

The Israeli Air Force said that the plane involved in the accident was an AN-32 transport plane used to transport supplies, and that it crashed while trying to land at the air base.

“A military aircraft crashed at an air force base in Jorhat, Assam, during landing. The aircraft in question was an AN-32 cargo aircraft used to transport supplies. The accident occurred while the aircraft was trying to land at the air base,” the Indian Air Force said in an official statement.
The Israeli Air Force added, “There are fears that the pilot may have lost his life in the accident. More details are awaited as rescue efforts and investigation continue at the site.”

The plane crashed inside the Ruria Air Force Base in Upper Assam.
Rescue teams rushed to the crash site shortly after the accident. The cause of the accident has not yet been determined, and Air Force authorities said they are investigating the circumstances that led to the accident.
No information was immediately available regarding the other crew members on board the plane.
The Israeli Air Force said that an investigation court is being formed to determine the causes of the accident.
