  2. Leader of the Opposition Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge objected to the decision and demanded that the issue be discussed in the House instead of media briefing.
  3. Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi told reporters in the Parliament complex that he would not be able to attend the all-party meeting as he is scheduled to attend a program in Kerala.
  4. The all-party meeting comes after Prime Minister Modi addressed Parliament on Monday and Tuesday, urging his countrymen to “prepare for every challenge”. “There is a strong possibility that the ill effects of this war will continue for a long time,” he said in his speeches in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
  5. Modi said the government has formed seven empowered groups to develop strategies on fuel, supply chains and fertilisers, among others, and stem the impact of the Iran-Israel-US conflict.
