As the investigation into the triple murder in Bangalore continues, the probe has revealed that the accused used an AI-powered chatbot to plan the killings. Bengaluru Police has written to an AI tools company seeking access to the chat history of the accused.
The investigation also added that the accused planned the murders for six months, PTI reported on Tuesday.
On June 22, 52-year-old Somasundar, his 48-year-old wife Muthulaxmi and their 19-year-old daughter Supriya were found stabbed to death. Days after the murder, the deceased couple’s eldest daughter, Shwetha, and her live-in accomplice, Kenneth, were arrested separately in Puducherry.
Police said the couple fled the scene and took cover to avoid arrest.
According to cops, Shwetha allegedly took loans $50k from her mother for Kenneth to start a cloud kitchen business. Due to fear of repayment and lack of money, the couple allegedly planned the murder.

According to police, Shweta and Kenneth consulted the AI-powered chatbot at every step while planning the murder. From how to kill to how to dispose of bodies, the couple used a chatbot.
A senior police official told PTI that although the crime was committed by both of them, it was Kenneth who did the planning in the first place.

A senior police officer said questions were raised and demands for information on how to kill, dispose of the bodies, remove blood stains and whether the oven he built for the planned cloud kitchen business could be reused to cremate the bodies.
The accused was socially isolated
Police and psychologists also stated that defendant Kenneth was severely socially isolated. Police added that Shwetha supported him financially while he remained socially isolated from friends and family.
Police added that Shweta also lost her job in the IT sector after Kenneth was allegedly influenced by her.
