RJD’s National League coordinator Arvind Kejriwal intensified his attack on the alleged theft of donations from the Ram temple in Ayodhya, calling for a nationwide “social boycott” of the accused in the case and those who are allegedly protecting them.

In a statement issued by the party, Kejriwal welcomed the decision of the Ayodhya Bar Association to boycott the accused and deny them legal representation. Describing this development as important, he said the response showed that devotees of Lord Ram are angry over allegations of irregularities related to offerings made at the temple.
“The entire country should now socially boycott the ‘chanda-chors’ and those who support them,” the former Delhi chief minister said in a post on X.
The remarks come days after Kejriwal visited Ayodhya, where he prayed at a Ram temple and addressed a press conference in which he claimed that the authorities were trying to protect those involved in the alleged “theft of sacrifices”.
During his visit, the AAP chief claimed that “people from top to bottom” were involved and wondered why strict action had not been taken against the accused. He also referred to Ram Temple Trust general secretary Champat Rai, while alleging that even senior leaders in the ruling establishment seemed unwilling or unable to act decisively on the matter.
Society must collectively ensure accountability if institutions fail to do so, Kejriwal said. “Those who can betray Bhagwan Ram can betray anyone,” he said, describing the case as a “dharma yudh”.
The BJP rejected the allegations made by AAP leaders regarding irregularities linked to the Ram temple and accused Kejriwal of politicizing matters related to faith and religion for political gains. BJP leaders asserted that the temple administration works through well-established institutional mechanisms and said that attempts to create controversy around the Ram temple are aimed at misleading devotees and polarizing public discourse.
