A man was shot dead outside his home by three assailants in Greater Noida on Tuesday. The attack took place in the area of Ecotic-1 police station, while the incident was recorded on surveillance cameras.

The victim, identified as Nitin, was seriously injured by a gunshot wound and was taken to hospital, where he later died of his wounds.
CCTV footage allegedly shows several men dragging Nitin to the ground and shooting him several times.
Sudhir Kumar, ADCP, Greater Noida, said the shooting appeared to be linked to a long-standing rivalry.
“Today, on February 24, 2026, Sachin and his associates shot Nitin, a resident of Loksar village, under the jurisdiction of Ecotech First police station, over an old rivalry. Nitin was seriously injured and was taken to hospital for treatment. Police officers are at the scene. Peace and order have been established. Further legal action is being taken,” Kumar told news agency ANI.

The authorities added that further investigations are underway to determine the sequence of events and the roles of all those involved.
