An FIR was lodged against Yograj Singh On misogynistic statements
The controversy erupted after a 17-second clip from the Indian web series ‘Lukkhe’ which was released on May 8, 2026, went viral on social media. StatesmanSpeaking to IANS, Bhasin said: “I have also appealed to the Women’s Commission to take suo motu action against him as the statement refers not only to the women of Chandigarh but also to all women across the country who leave home to earn their bread and butter.”
“I don’t think anyone will consider him their idol from now on. Youngsters will also stop coming to him for training. Their mothers will not send them to him after hearing this remark,” he added. The complainant also objected to the use of Chandigarh Police uniform in the series and to the naming of the female character ‘Gurbani’, a term of religious significance in Sikhism.
