Yogi Babu is attempting to set a rare record by playing 11 distinct roles in director R Kishore Kumar's upcoming Hindi thriller.

In an ambitious and record-breaking move for Tamil cinema, versatile actor and comedian Yogi Babu is all set to portray 11 distinct characters in an upcoming big-budget Hindi film. Directed by debutant director R Kishore Kumar (a former assistant to Mohan Raja), this high-octane action-comedy thriller features Yogi Babu treading into huge new territory as he plays everything from the primary protagonist to the ultimate antagonist.

Yogi Babu encounters a hero, a villain, and nine other distinct characters

The makers have revealed that Yogi Babu will play all the 11 main characters in the film, from the hero to the antagonist. The roles are dual personalities as well, each with a different appearance, body language, and even a unique language or accent. The bold casting choice is likely to take the actor into unknown territory and could become a defining moment in his career. This feat also beats the ever-present talk of Kamal Haasan playing ten characters in ‘Dasavathaaram’ which is one of the most discussed productions currently.

An action and thriller film that revolves around A High-risk black box mission

The story begins with a baffling crash of an Indian Army helicopter. The team embarks on a difficult mission to recover the helicopter’s missing black box to uncover the truth about the accident. They face many twists, exciting action scenes, and funny moments in their quest. Besides Yogi Babu, the film features Aditi Ravi, Ridin Kingsley, VTV Ganesh, Panju Subbu and A Venkatesh in the lead roles. The first schedule has already been completed, while the next phase of filming is planned in the UK and Kenya.

Another challenging lead role for the versatile actor

Over the years, Yogi Babu has grown from being one of the busiest comedians in Tamil cinema to a dependable lead actor with hit films like ‘Dharma Prabhu’, ‘Gurkha’, ‘Mandela’, ‘Yaanai Mugathaan’, ‘Lucky Man’, ‘Boomer Uncle’ and ‘Thookudurai’. He also gave memorable supporting performances in films like ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’. Yogi Babu, who has essayed 11 disparate roles in a single film, is now all set to take on one of the biggest acting challenges of his career, and expectations are sky high for what could be a truly one-of-a-kind entertainer.
