During an appearance on the ABtalks podcast, he revealed what years of medication had done to his body. “I’ve been on heavy medication for seven years,” he said.

He said: “Then I called my sister and told her something was happening to me. She said I still had to do the show. I left midway through after singing two songs.
And then I stayed inside my house for seven years. I didn’t want my fans to see me like this.
I locked myself inside and didn’t even meet my childhood friends. There were no communications, no phone calls, no television, no internet. “People thought the devil was talking to me.”The singer stressed that getting clean was just the beginning of a much longer road back. “You won’t believe it, but even after I stopped using drugs in 2014, it took me seven to eight years to recover,” he revealed.
