Fox Baywatch The reboot won’t be ready (it won’t be ready!) for fall, but never fear (never fear!) — it will arrive midway through the season.
New Baywatch The series will premiere in “late” January 2027, Fox’s head of scheduling, Dan Harrison, said in a conference call Sunday with media. Michael Thorne, president of Fox Television, added that it was an “honor” to return the intellectual property.
“There’s only one Baywatch“It’s one of the most iconic and popular television franchises in the history of television,” Thorne said.
As for timing, Thorne said: “We have a rich history of launching a mid-season series. We recently did that with The best medicine and Memory of the killer and document Before that. Goes all the way to 24 and empire and 9-1-1sand Resident. clearly, Baywatch It’s a very big priority for us, and we think we have a great opportunity to set the show up for success [in midseason]”.
He didn’t comment directly on the launch plans, but it would be nice to assume the timing means Baywatch They will debut after a big NFL playoff game, either the divisional round (Jan. 24) or, more likely, the NFC Conference Championship on Jan. 31.
Baywatch And her red swimsuit really gives the fox some green. The network already has Toyota as its exclusive automotive partner for the show, and Katrina Kukaj, Fox’s executive vice president of ad sales, said they will soon announce its beer partner. Fox’s pre-event, when platforms pitch advertisers on a slate of their upcoming shows, will take place this afternoon, which is why the call is Sunday evening. The exclusive beer partner will likely be announced next.
Thorne admitted that his version of Baywatch He has “big shoes to fill,” using terrible language for a show that has none. “There’s a lot of pressure on us to try to make it great,” he said, but “there’s no way not to try.”
New Baywatch It has a very vocal cast, including Stephen Amell, Noah Peck, Shay Mitchell, Livvie Dunne, and Brooks Nader. Two cast members from the original series, Erika Eleniak and David Chokachi, return to their roles.
