Strange things It’s over, but the minds behind the hit Netflix series are going back in time with upcoming animated shows, Stranger Things: Tales from ’85.

This new tale is set in Hawkins during the winter of 1985, meaning it takes place between seasons two and three of the main series. Strange things It covered the years 1983-1987, with each season being held in a new year.

This series includes animated versions of the series’ original characters – Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas and Max – with one new version: Nikki, who is described as a “tough girl in a mohawk”. The gang sets out to “fight new monsters and uncover a supernatural mystery terrorizing their town.”

The best addition to be seen in the collection is of course Elle (played by Millie Bobby Brown in the original series), given how her story ended in the series finale.

“It’s like Hawkins Lab science meets upside down matter. When you put them together, these are the kinds of creatures that exist in our world,” Robles, who is also a writer and executive producer, told Todom about a new shark-like monster inspired by Jaws. “Underneath all this snow, there’s something lurking, and you never know where that thing is going to come out and grab you.”
