Ahmed Khan’s star-studded action-comedy Welcome to the Jungle, featuring an ensemble led by Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal, continues to woo family audiences in its second week.
Despite facing a massive screen crunch due to the wide release of YRF’s spy thriller ‘Alpha’, starring Alia Bhatt, Sharvari, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol, the third installment of the popular ‘Welcome’ franchise has held its ground admirably.
After comfortably crossing the Rs 100-crore domestic nett mark during its second weekend, the film is now settling on a steadier trajectory as it moves through its second week of regular weekdays. Having already crossed the Rs 115-crore net mark by the 10th day, ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ has now entered the expected weekday correction phase, with the 11th day witnessing a sharp decline as it continues to share show numbers with ‘Alpha’ and Ajay Devgn led ‘Dhamaal 4’ releases on July 10.

The film began its theatrical run, earning a domestic revenue of Rs. 63.75 crore and a grand total of Rs. 93.45 crore over the opening weekend, largely driven by Sunday’s rise of Rs. 24.75 Crores. After Monday’s record fall to Rs. 8.50 crore, the film fetched Rs. 9.25 crores on Tuesday. However, it witnessed successive declines during the rest of the week, falling to Rs. 6.15 crore on Wednesday and Rs. 5.50 lakh crore on Thursday, concluding the first week with a net total in India of Rs.
93.15 Crores.
Going into the second week, the eighth day (Friday) brought Rs. Net Rs 4.50 lakh crore, taking the domestic total to Rs. 97.65 crore and the global total stands at Rs. 143.72 Crores. The second weekend saw a strong recovery, with the 9th (Saturday) fetching Rs. net of Rs. 7.50 crore (crossing the Rs. 100-crore mark domestically with a net of Rs. 105.15 crore and gross of Rs. 154.14 crore globally) and on the 10th (Sunday) and peaked at Rs. 9.75 crore net, taking the total to Rs.
114.90 crore (net India) and Rs. Rs 166.75 crore (global total). On day 11 (Monday) the film added Rs. 2.65 lakh crore net to secure India net at Rs. 117.55 lakh crore and the total global output at Rs. 170.35 Crores.
