The second season of Sudip Sharma’s web series Kohrra was released on Netflix on February 11 and has received rave reviews to match the first season. The web series, headlined by Mona Singh and Barun Sobti, has a flashing cameo by Jaideep Ahlawat in a pivotal scene. While many may miss it on first viewing, fans were happy to catch a glimpse of the actor. Jaideep is now talking about how Sudip had “no idea” about his cameo role.

In a pivotal moment Kohra 2, Jaideep appears as a railway lineman in a scene with Mona and Barun. This moment made many wonder what the Paatal Lok actor was doing in the world of Kohrra. Now, Jaideep reveals that even Sudip did not expect Jaideep to play the short role in the blink-and-you-go look.
Talking about the cameo role in a statement, Jaideep said, “Working with Sudip bhai didn’t feel like work anymore, so when the opportunity came, I had to grab it. Sudip bhai had no idea that I would be playing a railway line worker, but my shooting schedules crossed over. I discussed it with Gunjit and Diggy and thought this would be interesting.”
He also joked about not allowing Sudip to make a crime drama without him, saying, “I don’t think Sudip bhai is allowed to make a crime procedural drama without me anymore, haha! But seriously, Kohrra is a rare gem of storytelling, and I was grateful that I could be a part of it in some way, even if it’s hard to catch up on your first viewing!”
For the unversed, Jaideep and Sudip worked on the hit Prime Video web series Paatal Lok, in which Jaideep plays a cop, is very similar to Mona and Barun’s Kohrra.
