Brenton Thwaites, along with iconic Star Wars star Daisy Ridley, is back again with a brand new movie, this time about exploring the zombie apocalypse genre. While the film was released last year and hit US theaters earlier this year, it was recently confirmed that the film is all set for release on the popular OTT platform.

Here’s everything we know about the digital release so far.

“We Bury The Dead” is scheduled to be released online in May

Collider has confirmed that the thriller, directed by Daisy Ridley, is ready for an official release on Hulu. The film will be released on May 8, and will also be available to purchase on 4K UHD and Blu-ray from July 8 onwards. According to Box Office Mojo, the film managed to collect US$3,885,965 at the worldwide box office when it was released in theaters in January this year.

On opening day, it played in a total of 1,172 theaters.

The cast of “We Bury the Dead”

The official cast of Zombie Apocalypse includes Daisy Ridley as Ava and Brenton Thwaites as Clay, along with Mark Coles-Smith as Riley, Chloe Hurst as Katie, Kim Jackson as Lieutenant Wilkie, Matt Whelan as Mitch, Diana Cooney as Bianca, Salmi Giransar as Private Clarkson, Elijah Williams, Holly Hargreaves, Megan Hollier, and many more.

Plot “We bury the dead”

Directed by Zach Hilditch, the film centers on Ava, a woman abandoned in Tasmania who searches for her husband in the area. An apocalypse occurs in the area when a government-backed military weapon accidentally kills 500,000 people after failing to function properly. Instead of killing them entirely, the weapon turns these people into regenerating corpses, or zombies, leaving the survivors with a horrific reality.
