Director Vikraman shared an emotional video message after hearing the news of RP Chaudhary’s death. He broke down while talking about his early struggles in cinema. “I came to Chennai 40 years ago with a dream of becoming a director. I struggled a lot and faced hunger during those days,” he said.
“I went to many producers with my story, but no one supported me.” He then recalled how RB Choudhary changed his life completely.

Vikraman further expressed in his video, “When I narrated my story to Mr. RB Chaudhary, he immediately agreed and gave me the opportunity to direct Pudhu Vasantham. Today, even my house is named after this film. If I am able to eat in peace today, it is because of him.” The film was a huge hit and marked Vikraman’s breakthrough in Tamil cinema.
Their association continues to be remembered as one of the most successful partnerships between producers and directors.
RB Choudhary’s unfinished dream of 100 films
Vikraman also spoke about RB Choudary’s big dream of completing 100 films under Super Good Films. He said, “He had a dream of completing 100 films. It is very painful that he is not here to see this achievement. He gave opportunities to many people and changed the lives of many.” He added that Chaudhary’s support has helped many new entrants stay in the industry. The director ended his message in tears, saying that the producer’s loss is not only personal, but a huge loss for Indian cinema.
