Story: Revenge meets the race against time
The story revolves around C.I. Anthony, a corrupt police officer whose life takes a dark turn when his path crosses with Samuel.Samuel’s daughter went missing and was later found dead. This tragedy drives him towards revenge. He proceeds to expose Anthony and reveal the truth.While Samuel plans his moves, Anthony faces a crisis of his own and must race against time to save his son. The plot itself is something the audience would expect from a Jeethu Joseph film.
EETimes Verdict
The film received mixed to positive response from critics. Our ETimes review said, “The first half was excellent, drawing us in with a good story, unexpected emotions and twists, and halfway through you have no idea how the story will continue.
And when you think about it, you’ll be surprised by some of the cleverly placed dialogue added at the end of the film. While the second half contains new narration and, on the whole, the film is fast-paced, the edge-of-the-seat element of a thriller is missing.
“It may or may not be a complaint.”The review also added: “The film benefits from writer-director synchronicity. Dino has created interesting characters and situations, and Jeethu has lifted them with the right mood, whether light or brooding.”
‘Drishyam 3 ‘ to update
Meanwhile, Jeethu Joseph is also working on the much-awaited film ‘Drishyam 3’. The release has now been postponed. It will arrive on May 21, 2026, coinciding with Mohanlal’s birthday. The film was earlier scheduled to release on April 2.While sharing the update, Mohanlal wrote: “The past never stays silent… it just waits. Georgekutty arrives on May 21, 2026. #Drishyam3 | Global Release.”Reports indicate that tensions in the Gulf region influenced the decision.
