Don’t worry, Traitors Fans, Maura Higgins sure got what Birkin bag winner Rob Rausch promised her.
“He says it’s a work in progress. I don’t want to say I trust him again,” Higgins laughed during his early morning Zoom meeting with… Hollywood Reporter. The 35-year-old Irish reality star jokingly returns to Rausch’s iconic line at the end: “I promised my pinky.”
The pair were the latest players on the hit Peacock reality series, with Higgins betting that her closest confidant in Rausch’s castle was also loyal. Unfortunately for Love Island alum, her best friend happens to be the season’s most clever traitor, as he revealed during the finale that he cheated on Higgins and single-handedly won the game.
In the reunion special, a deal is made with Rausch to make it up to Higgins by buying her Birkin, and it looks as if… Love Island The American racer keeps his promise. “Lisa Rinna helps him because obviously you can’t walk in and buy a Birkin. But Lisa, the queen, has connections,” Higgins says.
She continues, “I want my bag and then he completely forgives me. I’m happy. He’s happy.” “He wins the prize money. I win best dressed and a free Birkin handbag. That’s a win. For me, that’s better than winning the show. I’m very serious when I say that.”
Higgins realizing she wasn’t winning the show like she thought was a devastating moment, but it’s certainly good TV and meme fodder. “I can’t keep using my phone without seeing my face like this,” she says, recreating her shocked face when Rausch exposed himself as a traitor.
“I went through all the emotions in that fire pit, and then I forgave him. And I said, ‘Fair play.’ Then I went to Fiji and filmed myself.” (Love Island) in the afternoon” she says, laughing.
Higgins admits that going into the game, she was hoping for something similar to Rausch’s path. Alan pleaded [to be a Traitor]But do you know what? I think then he probably knew I was lying because I tried to tell him I was a really good liar, but maybe it was obvious I was lying.
The reality star adds: “My mother always said, ‘You’re not a good liar.’ Your face says it all.” But then, when I saw myself on the screen lying to Eric [Nam]I was like, wait. I was very good there.”
Higgins is very busy with it Love Island The work, however, has a few afterthoughtsTraitors. She’s not interested in game shows anymore, sorry traitors, don’t count on her for All-Star season, but she has her eye on the Mirrorball Trophy. “maybe [I’d do] Dancing with the stars,” she says when asked what she will think about next.
“It’s something that’s going to be a challenge for me. I’ve never danced. I did some Irish dancing when I was younger. It’s going to be a big challenge, but I know I’m going to throw myself into it with all the trappings and glitz,” she says.
Higgins says she and fellow Season 4 contestant Faith Mark Ballas, winner of multiple seasons of the hit ABC dance competition show, will be dancing in the castle. “We had so much fun,” she said regretfully. “He’s just an incredible dancer.”
Other than Dancing with the starsHiggins says there are “several conversations” happening right now, and she wishes she could share more about them. “[There’s] Lots of interesting conversations with designers. “Obviously I really love fashion, so there’s a lot going on around that that I can literally scream about,” she says excitedly.
“then [I’m]“I also have exciting conversations with producers and executives in the scripted world, which can be very different for me,” Higgins continues, sharing how grateful she is to be in this position. “There are things happening that I could only have dreamed of, things that are on my vision board that I probably never thought would become a reality.”
