According to the latest reports, an attendee fell from a high-rise section of the venue, the upper tier area of the arena.
A concertgoer died after falling from the top tier at a Goose concert
One concertgoer, identified as 51-year-old Paul Quaker, died after falling from the upper tier area of Madison Square Garden, the New York Post reported. He was attending an indie rock band’s performance at the time. The authorities are currently investigating the matter to determine the truth of what happened.The NYPD was called to the scene for an emergency Saturday night while the party was in progress. “At approximately 9:51 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call of an injured man inside 4 Penn Plaza. Upon arrival, officers observed a 51-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive with injuries indicative of a fall from a height,” a statement from Entertainment Weekly said. He was taken to nearby Bellevue Hospital. But the doctors declared him dead.
Quaker was with his wife at the time of the accident.Speaking to the New York Post, his mother, Patricia Fennelly, said, “He was the greatest kid in the whole world. He would give you the shirt off his back.”He was attending the ceremony from the Chase Bridge, an elevated seating section that was added to Madison Square Garden in 2013.

Following the tragedy, Goose took to his social media account to share a tribute to the fan and address the ongoing situation.
