Tracee Ellis Ross will make her Broadway debut this summer in the one-man show Everything is great.

Ross begins the show on July 7 and runs through August 9. Daniel Radcliffe opened the play at Broadway’s Hudson Theater on March 12, and will run the show through May 24. Mariska Hargitay will take over from May 26 until July 5, before Ross takes over the role.

This marks the fourth extension of the play to be nominated for Best Revival of a Play. Radcliffe also received a nomination.

Ross, a six-time Emmy Award nominee and Golden Globe winner, is making her Broadway debut after groundbreaking shows such as blackish and Girlfriends And appear in the movie American fantasy.

“I have been a fan of Tracee’s work for a long time and knew that her quick wit, intelligence and emotional depth would be a perfect fit for her.” Everything is great“We are thrilled that she has chosen to make her Broadway debut with us this summer,” MacMillan said. “We can’t wait to welcome her to the Hudson Theater and for audiences to experience her unique approach to the play.”

Written by Duncan MacMillan and Johnny Donahue and directed by Jeremy Herrin, the play revolves around a person whose mother faces mental health challenges. They try to cheer her up by listing the things that make life worth living. As the main character grows older and faces her own mental health struggles, more cool stuff is added. The play involves a great deal of audience participation, with attendees asked to step in as characters in the play and shout out wonderful things written on scraps of paper.
