Amid the excitement surrounding the release of the Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone trailer, Tom Felton, who played the lead role in the Harry Potter film series, shared some interesting tidbits about his time with the new cast. Felton, best known for his role as Draco Malfoy in the hit film series, revealed that he has reached out to newcomer Lux Pratt, who is set to play the iconic character in the upcoming series. Speaking on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Felton shared the advice he would give his successor.

Tom Felton’s advice to Lux Pratt
“Have as much fun as you can,” he said with a smile and added, “Take as many pictures as you can, and steal as many props as you can. It’s worth a fortune.”
“But also, if you need a word of encouragement or questions, I’m there,” he added, reflecting on his own experience growing up on the film set.

Looking back on his own journey with the series and the cast, Felton also spoke about his friendship with co-star Emma Watson, who played Hermione Granger.“I don’t think there’s anything you can’t do,” Tom said during the podcast. “There’s no one I admire more, really, considering he’s been chosen for such a pivotal role now in history.
“The added dimension of being a young woman, a young girl going through this is another level of complexity.”
Daniel Radcliffe’s advice to new “Harry Potter” stars
Previously, Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter in the films, told ClutchPoints that he had “no advice for anyone” working on the series.“Enjoy it. I had a great time,” he continued [on the] Movie sets. Even as a kid, you’re still a kid, so you should have a good time doing whatever you do.”

The series features a new cast, including Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alistair Stout as Ron Weasley. It also stars John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Professor McGonagall, Papa Essidu as Snape, and Nick Frost as Hagrid, among others.The series will be released on Christmas, December 25, 2026.
