The first teaser of Shraddha Kapoor’s upcoming film ‘Eetha’ was leaked online soon after it debuted in theaters alongside ‘Cocktail 2’, creating excitement among fans.The teaser has been attached to ‘Cocktail 2’, starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna, which hit theaters across the country on Friday.
However, many moviegoers who headed to theaters to watch early screenings of the film took to social media to post about Kapoor’s next outing on the big screen.

Videos circulating online showed parts of the teaser being shown in theaters. Just like the previously released posters, the teaser presents Kapoor in a traditional saree look. The clip begins with her as a pregnant woman. The more than one-minute clip begins with her character going into labor before moving on to scenes depicting her as a theater actress and dancer.

‘Eetha’ is inspired by the life of the famous Marathi dancer Lavani Vithabhai Narayangaonkar, who is considered one of the most influential figures in the folk theater tradition of Maharashtra. Known for performing the popular Lavani and Tamasha, Narayangaonkar has captivated audiences across generations and was honored by the President of India with medals in 1957 and 1990 in recognition of her contributions to traditional folk art.

Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film stars Randeep Hooda and Mohammad Zeeshan Ayyub in pivotal roles.The project marks Kapoor’s reunion with producer Dinesh Vijan after their successful collaboration in the ‘Stree’ franchise. Vijan and Utekar had also previously worked together in the film Chhaava, which starred Vicky Kaushal.When it releases on August 28, Eetha will face box office competition from Vvan – Force of the Forest, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia.Kapoor was last seen on the big screen in ‘Stree 2’, a sequel to the 2018 horror comedy ‘Stree’, which is set to release in 2024.
