In a nostalgic post, she said that Sanju taught her how to treat everyone on the sets with respect. Along with an AI-powered video showing them when they were young, Sumi recalled working with him on Andolan before turning to social work.

Somy Ali learned a big life lesson from Sanjay Dutt in her early days in the exciting and challenging world of films of the 90s, full of dreams, egos and stringent work standards. As a newbie actress in films like Aatish and Andolan, she remembers how the gorgeous and vibrant icon taught her to treat everyone on the sets with equal respect, regardless of their role or status.

Sumy onNostalgia post for Sanjay Dutt

Sharing a nostalgic picture on social media, Somi wrote, “Sanju taught me to treat the film crew with respect and the boy who brings us tea with the same dignity.” Through Sango, I learned that hierarchy was not his business, nor should it be anyone else’s business. Reflecting on her first experience shooting with Sanjay Dutt, she added, “Considering that my first ever shoot in Bollywood was with Sanju, I consider myself very lucky.”

Be kind. Don’t envy people, lift them up by showing kindness. I have never seen an actor with this kind of influence treat the director and the boy who serves us tea with a carbon copy of dignity as he did the entire crew. Now that’s the real hero. She also stressed the importance of empathy, saying: “It’s important to be kind first and foremost because you never know what hidden battles, sadness or exhaustion others carry behind their faces.”
